Patented Pepper? YUP!
Yes, we know... Why would you want to patent black pepper? This is not just any black pepper, this is the form of black pepper called "Piperine". And Piperine is capable of doing some pretty amazing things in the human body! Let us list just a few of the health benefits of BioPerine®...
- Increased Nutrient Absorption
- Improved Metabolism through Thermogenesis
- Raised Dopamine and Serotonin
- Improved Memory
- Improved Immune System
- Improve Mental Skills
- Reduces Blood Cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose!
Black pepper is considered the “King of Spices” throughout the world due to its pungent principle piperine. This heat of piperine is in a manifestation of the biological activity of some of the active compounds found in pepper, the most notable of these being piperine. BioPerine® is one of the many reasons our Apple Cider Vinegar+ Supplement is better than every other Apple Cider Vinegar product on the market.
Increased Nutrient Absorption
One of the most notable benefits BioPerine® exhibits is its ability to increase the absorption of nutrients! That means when you combine BioPerine® with other nutritional compounds, your body is able to absorb and use these ingredients more efficiently than it would if you consumed each ingredient individually! This is a MAJOR benefit to using our Apple Cider Vinegar+. You want to know that the supplements you are buying, are really doing what they claim to do! And without enhanced bioavailability, and the use of high-quality ingredients, you just can't be sure they are actually working. This is why we pride ourselves on our unique Apple Cider Vinegar+ Formula!
One other great reason we added BioPerine® is that BioPerine® itself has amazing health properties! Its anti-inflammatory effect is being studied to be used for many different health ailments, including reducing inflammation in cancer patients, and it improves the metabolism just like the other ingredients in our supplement, Apple Cider Vinegar, Cayenne Pepper, and Inulin!
The metabolic process that generates energy at the cellular level in the human body is called thermogenesis.
Thermogenesis has been identified as a key factor in weight management; it has also been identified as playing an integral role in utilizing the daily food and nutrients that the human body consumes.
One way Bioperine® increases nutrient absorption is by increasing your metabolism by improving thermogenesis. This process breaks down your fat cells and increases your internal temperature. That means Bioperine® may be used to help people regulate their weight when combined with a more comprehensive weight loss plan! There is no such thing as a magic weight-loss pill, and at Genome we encourage everyone to include regular exercise and a healthy diet into their lifestyle.
Raised Dopamine and Serotonin
Piperine was found to enhance levels of both Dopamine and Serotonin in the hypothalamus and hippocampus regions of the brain! This may increase feelings of positivity and reward! Who couldn't use a little more of that?
In a study done on the effect of Piperine on Alzheimer's Disease, researchers found that piperine at all dosage range used in this study significantly improved memory impairment and neurodegeneration in the hippocampus. If you find yourself saying, "I forgot", or walking into a room, only to forget what you went in there for, well, then you could use a little more Black Pepper in your life!
Piperine may improve the neurotransmission of two chemicals -- serotonin and beta-endorphin. These play an important role in helping your memory. With an increased presence of these chemicals in the brain, it’s possible that people could improve their memory overall, which is something many people are striving for as they grow older.
Improved Immune System
Your body's immune system has the very arduous task of protecting you from invading pathogens. It literally does this daily to keep you from getting sick. Sometimes our immune system can overreact to things that are not really a threat, such as allergens. It can even overreact to the point of attacking your own body!
Regulating this overly sensitive reactivity is necessary to keep the immune system under control. That’s where Bioperine® comes in. By slowing the reaction time of lymphocytes, Bioperine® may reduce inflammation and weaken certain immune system responses. This is a really good thing!
Improve Mental Skills
"In addition to helping your memory, Bioperine may also boost some of your other executive functions. That could mean improving your attention and reasoning skills, along with your overall motivation. In other words, Bioperine® could possibly contribute to improving your overall production and sharpening your mental abilities. Those who are feeling mentally sluggish and lacking in motivation may feel a boost with an added amount of Bioperine®. The nutrient may also play a factor in managing stress levels, allowing people to relax as they become more productive."- https://neurohacker.com/bioperine-piperine-benefits
And if that isn't enough, read the excerpt below from Wiley Online Library...
"In ancient Chinese and Indian medicine, black pepper was used as a natural medicinal agent for the treatment and alleviation of pain, chills, rheumatism, influenza, muscular pains, chills, and fevers. In tea form, black pepper was also credited for relieving migraine headaches, strep throat, poor digestion, and even coma (Parthasarathy and others 2008). It was also used for enhancing the circulation of blood, increasing the flow of saliva, and stimulating appetite (Pruthi 1993). Recent investigations have shown that piperine has chemopreventive and antioxidant activities. It also has immunomodulatory, anticarcinogenic, stimulatory, hepatoprotective, antiinflammatory (Darshan and Doreswamy 2004), antimicrobial (Yang and others 2002), and antiulcer activities (Bai and Xu 2000). Piperine also has biotransformative effects and can enhance the bioavailability of different drugs such as rifampicin, sulfadiazine, tetracyline, and phenytoin by increasing their absorption, by slowing down the metabolism of the drug, or by a combination of the 2 (Atal and others 1985; Wu 2007). Piperine shows a protective effect against radiation and so it can be applied to cancer patients before radiotherapy (Raman and Gaikar 2002b). It has also been reported that piperine remarkably increases pancreatic lipase activity and stimulates pancreatic amylase, trypsin, and chymotrypsin (Platel and Srinivasan 2000). Recent evidence suggests that piperine might play an important role in the reduction of blood cholesterol, triglycerides, and glucose (Mueller and Hingst 2013)." https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/1541-4337.12246
